Roofing Today Panel:The Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) and the Media 14.2
The CCPI has developed post-Grenfell as part of the building safety changes, to develop and promote greater confidence in construction product information throughout the industry supply chain. Its fundamental impetus is to drive up standards so that only Clear, Accurate, Up-to-date, Accessible and Unambiguous construction product information is published.
This session will explore the interface between construction product information and the media, how editors and the marketing professionals they work with respond to the CCPI. How do editors balance the promotional purpose of marketing and sales information for CCPI construction products, with the editorial demands for interesting, engaging content that is easily understood and attracts the attention of busy readers, as well as the requirements for digital SEO and social media promotion?

Roofing Today Fireside chat: Dr Claire Griffiths, Editor of Roofing Today interviews Neville Grunwald Director of Facades and Roofs at Wates Construction and Chair of The Joint Competence Initiative For The Building Envelopes Sector (JCI).
Publication of the Grenfell Inquiry’s report in September has re-focused attention on how the construction industry is responding to building safety and the Building Safety Act. Central to this is the drive towards evidencing competency for all construction professionals.
This open and honest Q&A will see Roofing Today’s Claire Griffiths chat to Neville Grunwald about the culture shift needed in the Roofing, Cladding and Insulation sectors, the development of competency frameworks and their progress, as well as barriers to real-world adoption amidst a skills shortage.
